  Hibbett Sports is as good as it gets. Driving west from Memphis, towards Branson, my copilot and I needed to stretch our legs after a long day on the road. We stopped in West Plains at a strip mall and walked on into Hibbett Sports on a chilly Thursday night. Hibbett being a local establishment, we didn't know what a brilliant choice we had made! The staff immediately offered a hand, and next thing we knew, we were having a friendly, fun discussion about the town and it's many sporting opportunities. It was a real slice of Missouri hospitality. We bought some basketball shoes that we didn't even need (acl injuries, from skiing...) just to show our appreciation. Frankly, the staff should be providing outside consultancy to the terrible Modells staff in nyc, because this was an infinitely superior experience.
